I like it, though it's not something I would necessarily use. I have good associations with it, though. I grew up with a little girl--she's 30 now--named Millicent nn Millie (I like the name Millie, but only as a nn). Her mom's reasoning for naming her this was her grandmother's name was Vermel nn Mellie, and Millie sounded similar.
I like it. I wouldn't use it myself, but it makes me happy to see it used by someone else. Milly/Millie sould be a sweet nn.
I used to like it, but someone on this board once said that it reminded them of "militant" and now I can't think of anything else when I hear the name. Oh well. At least it's something different.
Reminds me of Millicent Bulstrode from Harry Potter. Here is a character description from mugglenet.com.
"A Slytherin in Harry's year. She is large and square and has a heavy jaw which she sticks out aggressively. During Harry's second year, she was a lot bigger than he was. She was partnered with Hermione at Lockhart's Duelling Club and the two ended up brawling. Hermione took the opportunity to retrieve what she thought was one of Millicent's hairs for her Polyjuice Potion, but it turned out to be a cat hair. Millicent joined Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad in her fifth year, and took great delight in apprehending Hermione when she and Harry broke into Umbridge's office."

I do like it, I can't say that I would ever use it though.
I like it. Doubt I'd ever think of using it though.
Sorry...!
Sorry but I have to go all Harry Potter.
Millicent Bulstrode....had a cat (because Hermione turned into one....through Polyjuice Potion in 2nd year) and was in Slytherin. She was sort of a jerk.
~
Other than that I sort of like the name Millicent. Also, I had a teacher named that but she went by Milly (outside of the classroom that is).
