I think Elle is quite nice, I prefer it to Ella. Though it could be a little bit too simple on its own as a first name, I think it sounds enough for Elle McPherson because of her status, she leaves a big impression so the name is enough for her. Thats just my opinion of course. Ellie is another nice/cute alternative.
