[Opinions] Penelope
I've really fallen in love with the name Penelope. Surprisingly, my husband also loves it, so it's in the running if we have another daughter next. Do you think Penelope is one of those guilty pleasure names? One you love, but you'd never truly use?
I have a Heidi now, so would Heidi and Penelope fit well together?

It's very pretty. It's nice and feminine-sounding.
Heidi and Penelope could work.

I would use Penelope. I do not consider it a GP. Persephone would be a GP, but Penelope is still within reason and VERY alluring to me.Penelope Margaret is on my list. I also like Penelope Margot.

I love Penelope and I would perhaps consider using it. I love Heidi, but it doesn't seem to fit with Penelope to me.

I really dislike Penelope. It looks like it should be pronounced PEE-nuh-lope, not pen-EL-oh-pee. And I really don't like the nn Penny. That being said, I do like Heidi!

Absolutely not!Penelope is not a GP name, imo! Unfortunately, my DH doesn't care for it, so I get really excited when I see others considering using it. :o) I HUGELY love the use of nns, and I adore Poppy as a nn for Penelope, as opposed to the more likely Penny. Nel would be sweet, too, but I'm all for Poppy. :o)I wouldn't necessarily group a Heidi & a Penelope in the same sibset, although I do like Heidi quite well. Heidi & Poppy on the other hand...(Oh, I'm being pushy, aren't I?) ;oP Seriously, that's not the type of sibset that would make me do a double-take b/c the names are so different. Yes, they have different vibes/categories/what-have-you, but since the girls would be two individuals, I see no problem with it.

I think Penelope is eminently usable, a lovely choice, classic, and not associated with any decade in particular so therefore timeless.
To me a "guilty pleasure" name is Leilani, which I love but wouldn't use, not being Hawaiian nor in Hawaii...

I think Penelope is a nice name. Although for some reason it's always made me think of melon. But melons are good. I think it goes well with Heidi too.

While Penelope is not a commom name, it has been used before and would probably be generally accepted. Personally, I love it! I think it goes well with Heidi.
