Message: "Sylvie" - Behind the Name

Tonight Sylvie is occupying most of the name-related thoughts running through my mind. I like Sylvia, too, but there's something soft and rich about Sylvie. I'm kind of 'saving' the name for one of my favourite combos at the moment, Jeanette Sylvie Corisande, but I'd like to toy with Sylvie and try to find some combos that I like.

I've been in a Swedish mood this afternoon, and played with the combos Sylvie Ellinor, Sylvie Elin and Sylvie Lovisa. What do you think of them, and do you have any other combo suggestions?

Sylvie is very pretty, and a nice alternative to Sophie. I like:

Sylvie Ariane
Sylvie Christiane
Sylvie Caroline
Sylvie Madeleine

or another 3-syllable French middle name.

Sylvie Elin and Sylvie Lovisa are lovely. I get a bit tripped up on the double Vs of the latter combo, though. I love Sylvie Louisa, though. I think I prefer Sylvia or the French pronunciation of Sylvie (seel-VEE). SILL-vee sounds a little wishy-washy.

I didn't think about Sylvie Louisa! That is darling. I also like Sylvie Luisa and Sylvie Luise.
