[Opinions] Re: Theodora.

I love Theodora, Dorothea, and Dorothy sooo much. I can never decide which is my favorite. Theodora isn't pretentious at all, imo. I find it dignified and serious without being stodgy and uninteresting. Teddy is a great nn.
Amarante: Nms. There's something cloying about it, and I think it tries too hard.
Nyx: One of my least favorite legitimate names, to be honest. It's similarity to 'nix' makes me think of nothingness and head lice treatment. Plus, I'm unimpressed by the mythological connection. If I were to name my daughter after a goddess, it wouldn't be this one.
Katarina: Very nice.
Mariah: I used to love this, but I think Ms. Carey has given the name a cheaper feel.
Philip: Fabulous. I love this name more than I can say.
Alistair: It's okay. One of those names I like as a mn or on "someone else's" child.
Alec: Love it. I think this is an under-appreciated gem.
