[Opinions] Jessica?
Yes, I know, boring and overused. I know so many of them that I never really thought of it until now. But it suddenly struck me as quite pretty without being frilly. Through a really complicated round about way, it would be honouring. However, I can't think up any first names for it (I would only use it as a middle name because of honouring and popularity). Three syllables and ending in ~a make the flow quite difficult, and everything I can think of is off.So, wdyt of Jessica, and can you come up with any first names? Thankyou!

I really like Jessica, despite it feeling slightly tired because of its recent overuse. I think it would make a nice middle name. I love Jess- names in general, really. Jesse is on my boys' list and both Jessamine and Jessamy are on my girls' list, along with Jessica.Sorry for any repeats, I haven't really looked through the other responses:Alice Jessica

When I was twelve or so I wished I were named Jessica. Now, though, I find the sound kind of harsh. Must be the -ca, because Jess has a pleasant sound to me. I'd have to second heron's suggestion of Jessamine, which would be much easier to find a first name for.You are right about the flow of names with Jessica as the mn sounding off! It's one of those names that make me want to add a second mn to soften the flow.(names taken from your PNL)
Siofra Jessica
Maren Jessica (I think this flows best)
Sophronia Jessica
Aisling Jessica
Theodora Jessica(other ideas)
Clara Jessica
Ava Jessica
Ileana Jessica
Kara Jessica
Catherine Jessica
Laura Jessica
Leah Jessica
Rosamund Jessica
Vivian Jessica
Evelyn Jessica
Veronica Jessica (perhaps too repetitive)
Theresa Jessica
Penelope JessicaAny you like?Edited to correct spelling

Penelope JessicaI'm actually beginning to really consider Jessamine. Everyhing flows so much better, without having to flip it or add a second mn. Thankyou very much!

It's quite pretty. I've only known a couple, one who was really nice, and one who was not-so-nice. Unfortunately the name reminds me of the not-so-nice one more, so I can't like the name a lot. I prefer Jessamine, but of course that's not what you asked lol, so:
Harriet Jessica
Polina Jessica
Beatrice Jessica
Phoebe Jessica
Tamsin Jessica
Emmeline Jessica

Tamsin JessicaI hate how one not-so-nice person can put you off a name. :( Jessamine is also very pretty! I hadn't really thought about that. It's the Jess~ part of the name that is honouring, so I shall think about it! Thanks!

For some reason I kept thinking of names with the identical rhythm, three syllables with the stress on the first syllable. Odd.

What about Jessa as an alternitve as a first name? Jessica is a really pretty name but I went to school with a girl whom I hated named Jessica so I can't use that for one of my future children (plus it's too close to Jaslynn-my baby's name)

It is a pretty name. The nickname Jessie is just adorable. I also like Jesse for a little boy. But Jessica is really nice indeed!
