can anyone tell either the meaning or origin of the name godbehere.i have started to research my mothers family ,and one of my aunties maiden name was godbehere.i must be honest i had never heard of the name before.any help appreciated.regards john

'It seems like "behere" might share origins with "bright" or "beraht" as in Robert, Albert - so , 'bright god', probably pronounced 'god-ber'
