[Opinions] Agnethe
What do you think of the name Agnethe? I heard it today, beautiful. What about Agnessa and even Agnes?

Is it pronounced "ag-NET-uh?" If so, it's very pretty. "ah-NYET-uh?" Again, very nice, although my Russian training is telling me the "nyet" sound is a no-go. I could get over it, though. I admit that I've always been a little wary of Agnethe. When I look at it I'm never quite sure if it's related to Agnes (which I know it is) or Agatha. I love both Agnes and Agatha, so you'd think Agnethe would be a happy medium for me. But my brian is not that agile and the inner computer tilts a little. Inez / Ines is by far my favorite variant of Agnes.

Agnethe is alright, except I'm not too sure about the pronunciation (ag-net?)I dislike Agnessa, but I adore Agnes (despite it's "old-ladyness")!

AgnèsI just can't appear to get myself attached to any form of the name, except fot the French pronunciation of Agnès, which might be plausible in DC to pull off, but I still don't like it enough (at this time).

Me too!I adore the french prononciation, but I would never give it to my daughter unless I lived in France, because it would never be pronounced correctly.(OT: I love the pic in your signature. Caillebotte is my favorite.)
