I really like Ethel atm. I know people say that it seems so old, but I still like it. The problem is I don't know what kind of names to pair with it for mn. Should I use more old-fashioned names or would that make the whole name look as if it should be on an older person?
Have you got any name suggestions that I could use?

Ethel is Fantastic! I love it too. I think I would go for an old fashioned middle name as well, or maybe classic like Ethel Elizabeth or Ethel Catherine, Ethel Lucille, Ethel Frances, Ethel Rose. Anyhow its a really cool name

I think Ethel is very unattractive because its pretty dated. However, if you do use it, I would go for a pretty and modern-ish middle name to balance out.

I like Ethel and i think 'old-fashioned' names can be used for children these days, after all i have a daughter called Edith, nn Edie.
I don't think it matters what type of name is used as a middle name really, a few i like though are:

Ethel Marie
Ethel Ruby
Ethel Jade
Ethel Natalia

I have a cousin named Ethel Rosetta.

Personally, I don't care for it, but that may be because we used to have a chihuahua named Ethel.
