Sorry, but Aerin looks contrived to me. It looks like someone in homeroom with too much time on her hands thinks it's cool to misspell Erin. Perhaps Aerin has history to it that I'm missing. If so, I'd love to learn it. :-)But if I came across this in the real world I'd (inwardly) roll my eyes.

well i'm pretty sure it is another spelling of Erin. i've heard that its an Indian name too. Aerin was also a minor character in Tolkien's Children of Hurin if you've read it.
a tryndee version of Erin was not my intention at all.

I so agree.I've never understood the need to "recreate" names, especially classic names that everyone and their brother can already spell. I came across a particular offender last week: Jeymz. Why?
