It has been an adventure these last two years. Noah has grown so much- although due to the fact that he was so premature, he is still significantly underweight for his age. Also, he has had a number of health problems and is very prone to getting sick. He has been in and out of the hospital several times, but for the last 6 months, he has been a healthy, happy, and brilliant little boy. This has been especially great because with the welcoming of our second child, our daughter Kari Bridget, no viruses have been in the house to get Kari sick and also makes it easier on us to have less problems with a newborn in the house.
The birth, and pregnancy, of Kari Bridget was smooth sailing compared to that of Noah. Kari was a whole 8 pounds, 4 ounces and as healthy as could be! She has grown so much and is wonderful. Noah was skeptical of her at first. But he has come to enjoy watching her and tickling her with his teddy bear. Its adorable to watch the two interact.
Recently, Jack and I have been quite busy with being parents. I wish it were easier and maybe if Noah had been born healthy, it would be. But we get by and our good days make the bad days bearable. Because of Noah's issues, and the birth of Kari, I have quit my job, not having gone back to work after my maternity leave with Noah, and plan to be a stay-at-home mom until things settle down a bit more. Jack and I have come to understand family and marriage completely and as hard as it us, we love it. Though, maybe we'll wait awhile before we consider having another child.
