[Opinions] Dilemma.
My aunt's name is Carolyn. I really love the name Caroline and would love to name my daughter this. Do you think it is too much?

Would they be pronounced the same?

No. Aunt's name is care-ro-lynn. Daughter would be care-ro-line.

Well then I don't see a problem.

No, not at all. I don't think it would be a problem if they were the same name entirely. I have a great-aunt with the same name as me.Also, my mother's name is Caryl (pr. like Carol) and my sister is Caroline, and I've never even thought of them as being "too similar" to be in the same immediate family.

Caroline is too much? Caroline is PERFECTION ACHIEVED. Where on Earth ould you get the idea that it is too much? I would consider Caroline for my own daughter, and I like it almost as much as THEODORA.*faint*

Not at all. I have a close friend named Carolyn, and love the name. I also really like Caroline. Go ahead!
