How do you pronounce Lioslaith? The site I got it from just says that it's a Scottish girl name and it means 'Dwells at the grey fortress.' I have no idea if thats true b/c I'm not Scottish But I would like to know the pronounciation. It looks interesting.

I'm scottish and you pronouunce it Lo-i-sleigh-th. Its a beautiful name, and yes, that is the meaning of it.

Thanks, I like it. But why isn't the name spelled like Loislaith instead of Lioslaith if its pronounced that way? I'm just courious, I've tried to learn Gaelic but its hard because of how all the different letters are put together. The sounds are just so different from English; but if I can master the Russian alphabet then I can figure out Gaelic. :)

I would say LEO-slayth but I have never heard it before. Very masculine to be a girls name.
