[Opinions] I like it! (m)
I had a Great Uncle Lynn. I think it's okay by itself, but I like it best as a nickname for Llewelyn. I also like it spelled Lyn because it's different, which makes me associate it less with how common of a female name it is. One syllable names are hard to pair with middle names. I think it really depends on the last name for flow, so I don't think I could give good suggestions. But it's great as a middle name. Out of the names you have up there, I like Lynn Edmund the best. Not sure about Ambrose though, and it doesn't have the same feel as Lynn. I associate Lynn mostly with Welsh names.

Lyn is a more common female spellingMy parents spelt it that way for my brother with the same understanding, only to be told by just about everyone that it was the feminine spelling.

not to my understanding. I've met many female Lynn s, not one Lyn of either gender.
