[Opinions] When I worked for my dad I could always tell if they knew him or not
If they asked to speak to Rev. Lynn Burkehart and asked when "she" would be in I knew it was a telemarketer or someone unimportant. It was pretty funny.

It was that way with my dad as well, when I lived at home at would answer the phone. His fn is Franklin and our ln also happens to be a somewhat popular fn, so they would either switch the two (thinking his ln was Franklin) or refer to him as "Frank" which he has never gone by in his life. :b As for Lynn as a male fn, it's not really my style but I find it a bit refreshing at the same time. I had a friend in 3rd grade who was a boy and named Lynn, and he was rarely teased about it (as a matter of fact, I liked him a lot--as a friend--and he was the only boy I invited to my 9th bday party. LOL. I'm rambling now, but, also my best friend Kimmie's dad is named Kim. She's just Kimmie (not Kimberly) and he's just Kim (not Kimball, etc.). It was very confusing in their house when she was growing up. I think Kim would be confused as a female name even more than a Lynn, though not by much.
