Help[Opinions] Captain Planet...(m)

The only thing I think of is the animated character on Captain Planet, Kwame (voiced by the guy from Reading Rainbow!) ... so that automatically makes me think it would be a male name.
Aside from that, though, I just think it sounds too much like a word.
