Tave - This is ok I think, not bad at all
Tavy / Tavie - I prefer Tavie personally, but think it works
Davy / Davie - Can't see it on a girl
Cate - No, I can't see it
Kit? - POSSIBLY...
Tock - In theory I like it... but can't imagine shouting it across the playgroud
Tocky - don't like this at all... prefer Tock
Ticky - no
Cat / Caddy - maybe Cat, but not Caddy
Teevie - I know someone called Steve that I sometimes call this
Viva, Vee - - I agree with you
Vita - LOL... I don't think it works
Otta - not bad, but could be mistaken for Otto. Which I really like, but prolly not what you're going for
Ottie - don't like this

So... out of them all I think Tave, Tavie, Kit, Tock, Cat, Teevie and Otta could work, but my favourites are Tave and Cat.

Yeah same about Tock. I can actually see shouting Tocky across the playground a lot more easily. It is kind of weird. I like Tock in theory but not practice, I like Tocky in practice but not theory.

I actually considered Otto as a nickname at first. Otta would probably become Otto a lot. And then probably Ottoline... how much fun!
