I don't care for the spelling but I know a male Courtney and I think it's fine. Like Ashley, I think Courtney is a bit overused and cutesy on girls but I'm much happier to see it on a boy. That said, I don't care for Courtney as much as I do Ashley but I'm also not bothered by the fact that it's a popular name for girls.
