Do you like the name Dale?

It occured to me that I quite like it. There were a couple of boys called Dale in my (large) high school but it's never been overused. I don't think it has the trendy feel of Cale, which I've found myself drawn to before.

I did consider Dale's potential as a girl's name a while back, but that never went anywhere. I like it on a boy for now. So what are your impressions? And wdyto these combos?

Meh. I've liked quite boring middle names lately - names I would use as first names if they weren't so popular. Maybe all these combos are just dull...

I hate it. It has a honky-tonk, country boy, "yeehaw" connotation for me. I've known one Dale and two guys whose mns were Dale, and they were all rednecks, so it has kinda ruined it for me.

I see this only as a mn as, IMHO, it's not substantial enough for a fn. Not my favorite.

I like it for a boy. My BIL is named Dale, and he's a great guy.

I like Dale Conor Benjamin the best.

I love this name :) Dale Conor Nicholas is my fave out of those combos, although I'd prefer Dale Nicholas Conor, or Dale Nicholas Fraser.
