Penelope chose Susanna's first name, and Nathan chose her middle name. Susanna is after Penelope's mother, whose middle name is Susan, and her grandmother, whose middle name is Anne. Nathan chose Eden as the middle name simply because he liked it and thought it sounded nice. They chose not to know the sex of the baby until she was born, and the name they had chosen for a boy was Jackson Ezra. Susanna's arrival forced the addition of a nursery, as Nathan and Penelope hadn't planned on having children so quickly and hadn't even begun to prepare yet. They finally finished the construction in time to slap up some paint before Susanna came home from the hospital, but they're still arranging things as they'd like them to be... but here it is!
