[Opinions] Tristram
Wdyto Tristram? Just occured to me today that I like it. It's a bit different from Tristan which, though I like it, could get lost among all the -en names that are trendy now.

Would get butchered in the States, I'd think. Might be more usable in the U.K., though. It's a bit of a tongue twister for me, though I'm with you on Tristan. Maybe Crispin as an alternative (but then there's the whole 'crispy' teasing aspect :-/).

You might as well just call him Tristan cause you can guarentee everyone else will

It just doesn't sound right to me. It's like this: I get hangnails ALL THE TIME, and then I sit there and feel the roughness of them. They are incredibly annoying, because they are just sitting there extra and not being smooth, and yet I am fascinated to feel them with the sensitive pads of my fingers. That's what Tristram is like - very interesting to say, but very awkward and just not right.

I quite like it, but I prefer Tristan. I also would never use either because they always remind me of the French word 'triste', meaning sad.

I don't like it, but probably because I don't like Tristan. Tristan is a pretty boy, and Tristram sounds awkward to my ear, like Tristan's poor fat cousin.

like Tristram Shandy?I prefer Tristan personally.

I like it. It's a nice alternative to Tristan, although that's a nice name too.

I prefer Tristan...
Tristram is just too difficult to pronounce, imo. I like the thought behind it, but I'd stick with Tristan.

Tristram is very handsome and striking. I don't like it quite as much as Tristan but only because it's harder for my mouth to say with the two TRs in it. Now if it were Tristam it would be easier to say but somehow that doesn't seem to be a variant of either Tristan or Tristram. :)

I like it, but I fear he would get called Tristan constantly.
