I have never really thought of it as a name, but actually it isn't bad. But the first thing people are going to think when they hear this name is the place, which could get irritating.

LOVE IT! Makes me think of serenity and beauty. It is not overly used, and is not really a name as I think of as a place... since that name was meant to invoke such thoughts as beauty and perfection. LOVE IT.

I like it a lot. It's on my PNL, and while I also do not normally like Biblical or place names, I like the sound of it. I also think the meaning is nice.

Meh. I like the name Eve better. There's nothing really wrong with the name, but it's not my cup of tea.

I think of it more as biblical than a place name also. I like it but mostly as a middle name.

It's pretty good. I still can't figure out if the 'd' is hard. I've got sort of an "EE-dn" thing going, and it sounds kind of funny. I like EE-den better, but somehow my tongue won't make it that way. So: On paper, I love it. On someone else, I love it. On someone whose name I have to say, I hate it. Does that work?

I think it's quite pretty - I know a little girl called Eden Aroha, which I think is a great combo. She's really cute so I have good associations with the name. It's not really my style, but I like it.

And the aforementioned Eva is piggybacking off Ava, which is really just the English spelling of Eva, pronounced AVA in Germany. Therefore Eva and Ava are practically the same name.

Its an ok name I think. I don't love it or hate it.

I love it, I really do but I don't think it goes with my other top names at all (Susannah, Vivienne, Bridget, Adelaide and Ruby). I can see why some people think it is tacky but I honestly don't care. I love the images it invokes and the sound of it and I adore the nn Edie.

I absolutely LOVE the name Eden however DH has forbidden me to ever use it because he said it sounds like a stripper. : (

It's acceptable to me on the grounds that it immediately reminds me of Enid, which I like as a GP. I'd want to see a very feminine middle name (probably ending in a) with it so as not to remind me too much of Aidan.

I probably say that because I am a female Eden myself, but I am quite pleased with my name. I always get compliments and people can remember me easier, plus I love how it's original and wierd.

I love Eden for a girl. It just seems clean & sophisticated to me.
