[Opinions] Evren?
How do you feel about Evren ('EV-ren') nn 'Ren' (fn only) for a girl?
It means 'the universe/cosmos' which would have a nice significance for me (I am a physics/astrophysics student, hoping to go into research).

I actually really really like it. I have never heard it before but it is spunky and cute yet I can see it aging very well. Its a beautiful name. I think I might add it to my list with the nn Evvy

I really like it. It has a lot of spunk, and the meaning is obviously important to you. Actually, I think the meaning is very cool anyways.

No... *cry*Evren is one of my favorite boy names...

It's unisex by nature of the name and hardly about to rocket up the charts for either sex. Isn't asterisked crying a bit OTT? Array

I didn't think so...Evan, Evander, and Evren are very special to me (like Lyric for a girl), and thinking of Evren on a girl...I know it's unisex (although it was a complete shock to me to find that it was). I guess it's like Morgan or Riley. They're unisex, but I really don't like them on girls.I will take back the asterisked crying. Maybe it was a little OTT. Sorry 'bout that. :-/

I do get what you mean. I always react with shock at a girl Robin, which is a frankly stupid reaction but the name just screams male to me.

If you are going to name a girl Evren I sugest the spelling be Evryn.. or Evrin.. but i like Evryn the best But i thought it sounds like a boy-ish name..
so why not Evrett {boy}

When I first saw it, I imagined it for a boy. I am a fan of feminine, soft sounding names for girls, so it isnt really my style.
But I do like it. Its unique and its pronouncable, which is a good start!

I'm intrigued by the fact that it's a "real" name--I met a baby girl by the name of Evryn some years ago. I never knew where her mother came by it, but I did think it had a pretty enough sound.It's not for me, but I like it well enough for someone else. I'd love to see it with Ren as only an occasional nickname, because the full name's quite nice itself.Array
