[Opinions] Evan on a girl
Does it work? Personally, I think it could, as I feel like it does have a bit of a feminine sound to it but I'd like to hear your opinions. Would a spelling like Evin be better? Evyn is out of the question because I really dislike the "v" and the "y" next to eachother.

No, it does not!
I have a co-worker with a little girl named Evyn, who was named after her grandmother, Evelyn. I personally think Evelyn would've been a million times better. Even with the Evan spelling, it's not a good idea for a girl, but I'm not at all a fan of masculine names on girls. If it's any consolation, I don't love it on a boy, either, but I'd much rather see it on a boy than a girl, still.
I adore it on a girl only :)

i think evan for a girl is pretty cool.... only all the evans i know are jerks so that makes me not want to name a kid evan
I hate Evan on a girl. It's a masculine name for me. Evin is terrible.
Ditto. Also, Evin looks too much like Evil to me.
I like it, especially as a nn for Evangeline
it works, but I really don't like it. Maybe in a double first name like Evan-Sadie, but otherwise not so much. If your going for that sound I think that Devin works much better for a girl. However if you like it that much then I would say that sticking to the original spelling would be better because otherwise it just looks wierd.
No. It's all boy to me. Spelling it a different way wouldn't make it a female name and it just wouldn't look right.
It works, and I like Evin too but not as a form of Evan.

Not a fan of it on a girl, but nice for a boy.

No, it's a boy's name only to me. Especially as it is a form of John, which I perceive to be an archtypal masculine name. And I hate how people think spelling names with an i or a y will make it more feminine. It just makes me think that the name should be pronounced differently, e.g. Evan I would pronounce EH-vuhn, wherease I would say Evin "EH-vin".
Stick to Eva, Evonne, Evadne, Evlyn, Evaine, something like that.

PS I just noticed in my "new age baby name book" that Evin is a legit Spanish form of Eva. But I'd still pronounce it differently to Evan.
PPS Maybe you could use Evan as a nn for Evangeline? Personally I still don't like it but I would find it more acceptable.

Evan Rachel Wood...
...is pretty much the only girl who can make it work, imo. Evin doesn't look good, and besides, the name with any spelling is just too masculine to me.

I don't like it unless its a nn for Evana or Evangeline.
As a NN it would work fine in my opinion. I don't even like it as a full name for a boy. Do you like Evangeline/Evangelina?
Evin and Evyn both look terriably mispelled. Evin looks like a typo for Erin.

I do like Evangeline and I've thought of using Evan as a nn for it.
