Early August was a hectic time for Moira and Elias: they celebrated their second aniversary, Moira got an exciting job offer to do fieldwork in eastern Turkey, and they found out that they were going to have a baby! They were surprised, because though they'd tried to get pregnant for a little while, it didn't work out, so they'd given up for the time being. They were very excited upon finding out, though it made Moira unsure about whether she should take the job in Turkey, which she'd initially been thrilled about. Elias talked her into taking it, and has decided to stay at home (in Turkey, where the whole family moved) to take care of things and do a little freelance research of his own. Moira had to do some field analysis rather than actual excavation to begin with because of her pregancy, but after her son's birth in April she's back in the field and loving it. Her project is in the Anatolia, and because it came along at about the same time as the baby and because she enjoys it so much, she and Elias decided on the name "Anatoli" (which they both agreed was a bit too much on its own, so they call him "Nate"). Elias is a huge fan of Johannes Kepler's work, so he wanted to work that in there somehow too, and so Anatoli became Anatoli Johannes.
