I love Yvette and the combo Yvette Rose. Yvonne is nice too, but it's awkard for me to pronounce.

I like Yvonne - historic Breton name.
Yvette is a bit '60s sex kittenish. The -ette names trouble me in so far as they sound like "Eve ate" etc (though ate might not sound like -ette with an American accent!)

I don't like Yvonne, mainly because I do like the masculine Ivan prn the same way. I suppose I could live with Yvette, but the only one I know IRL is a b*tch, so no go. I personally prefer the similar-but-not-exactly Ysanne.

I love Yvonne, but am not wild about Yvette. "-Ette" names are not my cup of tea, as they're too girly. Yvonne, on the other hand, sounds great on anyone of any age and just sounds timeless to me. If these names hard to prn, you could always change the spellings to Ivonne and Ivette (I'm assuming that it's the Y that's throwing you off).

I think Yvonne is beautifulAnd I never found it hard to pronounce: Ee-VON. I think it makes a nice mn and an even nicer fn, and it sure isn't popular. Not crazy about Yvette, I don't care for ette names in general and I can just see a car called the Chevy Yvette. Gas-burner, crunches intoa tin can if it gets hit... Also knew a terribly irritating person named Yvette in middle school.

I don't really like either, I have no probs with the pron. ee-VON and ee-VET as far as I know. I have a cousin called Yvonne and a friend called Yvette. I prefer Yvonne.
