[Opinions] Maisie
Do you think Maisie needs a fuller name like Margaret or Maighread / Mairead or could it stand alone? Thoughts on Maisie? DH's grandmother is Pearl & my Nana is Greta.Potential siblings could include the following:
Lillian
Elisabeth nn Elsie or just Elsie
Ruby
Esme
Isobel / Isabella
Violet
Audrey
Molly
Rosemary nn Romy or just Romy

I've always had a soft spot for Maisie. Just so sunny and sweet. For my tastes it is too informal as a given name, but I wouldn't cringe to see it on someone else's child as a full name. Maisie would work well with most of the sibling names, too.

Maisie has been growing on me lately. Honestly, I think it could stand alone as a name quite well.

Only yesterday I came up with a similar question, you can check out the ideas for full names here: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3267095&board=baby
I really love it, but not sure if I want it to stand alone. I think it would fit nicely with your other names.

I like Maisie, and I think it could work alone and honestly would rather see it that way. I can't really see it working as a nn

I love Maisie, and i think it's lovely as a stand alone name. I'd use it in a heartbeat.

I've seen Maisie used on it's own, but I think it would be nice to give a longer name so she has more options in the future. I know a Margaret who is Daisy to her parents but to her friends she is Maggie. Just gives her a bit more choice. I think it goes fine with the other suggestions.

What lovely names! :D I would use Margaret Pearl NN Maisie or Greta, depending on what she ends up looking like or acting like. The nice thing about Margaret is the number of possible NNs - if Maisie or Greta don't seem right, there's always Maggie, Margie, Daisy, and I'm sure you could come up with a few more if you needed to. The best fitting siblings would be Rosemary NN Romy and Lillian (possible NN Lily/Lilly?) Elisabeth NN Elsie is a close choice, but Elsie is too close to Maisie, IMO.

I think Maisie definitely needs a full name to go with. I love the honouring, though, and I love Maisie as a nickname.

I think Maisie is really cute and therein lies the problem. I'd only use it as a nn for Margaret or Mairead.

Maisie needs a full name..I prefer Margaret to Mairead, but I love nn Maggie.

I love the name Maisie and I absolutely think it can stand alone. I know mostly everyone on here will disagree with me though! It's a perfectly lovely name on it's own imo. Whenever I've seen the name used, which is very rarely, it's always been the full name. I also love every single name you mentioned in your post! They're all pretty much names I would consider naming any future DD's of mine. What great naming tastes you have! ;)
