I love Dinah. I'm not sure if I'll ever use it (there are lots of names I like more), but it's on my PNL and I would love to meet a little Dinah.

I've always liked it alot - a strong Biblical name and classy.
But I'd hestitate to use it in case of Dinah saur and Dinah mite jokes. :(

I like it, too. Usually, I prefer the Hebrew pronunciations of Hebrew names as opposed to the Anglicisations, but I totally prefer the DYE-nah pronunciation.
It reminds me of Virginia Weidler's character in The Philadelphia Story (who was actually born Diana, but her sister Tracy changed it to Dinah). ♥

I would pronounce it DYE-nah. DEE-nah to me is spelled Dina or Dena, and is a completely different name. I knew a Dena, pronounced DEE-nah.

Dinah is dy-na and Dina is Dee-na like Dina Carroll, the singer.
Dinah is old-fashioned but I think it gets used occasionally. I know of a teenage Dinah.
Completely off-topic, I have never heard the expression "anywhere here else" and have to say it's confusing!

I was thinking of the song also, as I made the post. I thought about mentioning it, but decided not to. I still like the name, though.

I don't like it at all. There's something about the sound I find really unattractive and I don't like the look of it either. Definitely not my style.
