I much prefer Roxanne to Roxanna; I don't like -anna / -ana names most of the time, and Roxanna's no exception.

Roxy is a cute nickname, though! I went to school with a Roxanne, and only her good friends called her Roxy, so it strikes me as a nice, intimate little name. :)

When I think of a Roxanna I think of a somewhat mischevious, cheeky and good-natured girl. I think it suits girls and young women but I can't imagine somebody older than thirty-five bearing this name, though it seems a little picky of me.
