Joey had just turned one (two weeks previously) when the Cartwright's second little boy was born! His name is John William Cartwright and Ryan has taken to calling him Jack. Joey adores his new little brother and likes to touch him and help Julie "take care" of him. Ryan is still working at the newspaper and writing a weekly column as well as doing some book and movie reviews occasionally. Julie has not returned to work yet, but the family is doing all right on Ryan's salary.
Ryan and Julie weren't expecting to have another child so soon after Joey, but they were quite happy, since Joey is pretty easy to take care of. They were happy to find out that they were going to have another boy because that way Joey has a brother who is close to his age. Everything went smoothly during the pregnancy and birth, except that Julie craved watermelon--all the time...
