I guess Rayla could be considered a feminine elaboration of
Ray... but really it's just
Ray with -la tacked on the end. It reminds me of
Kayla,
Shayla,
Jayla; all trendy, boring, "fluffy" names. I far prefer the simpler
Rae.
I also don't get how Rayla is a form of
Riley. I'd understand Ryla, though. Your pronunciation looks like it should be spelled Ryla anyway.
