[Opinions] Questions about nicknames...
I was looking at my PNL and a question came to mind.
I really like the name Elliot but I was wondering if the nickname of Eli (prn ee-lie) can be used. I would assume it could but would it be weird to use only one L in the nickname if there are two in the full name. I don't really prefer any other spelling of the name either.
Also this goes with the name Gwyneth as well. I much rather prefer the spelling Gwenyth because I could use the nickname Gwen and it looks "right" to have this as the nickname. So would it be alright to use Gwen as a NN for Gwyneth?
I know these are opinion questions and if in my future when I have children and want to use Eli for Elliot and Gwen for Gwyneth I can.
What is your opinion on the NN's?
Also, would those Gwyneth and Elliot sound good as a sibset?

I think those are usable nicknames. But Elliot is such a nice name. I wouldn't use a nick name for it personally.
I'm totally with you, at least on the "Gwen" names. For example, I know that Guinevere is the proper spelling, but I really prefer Gwenevere because it lends itself to the nn Gwen so well, a name I've been in love with for about 7 years. Also, I think that Gwenyth makes a bit more phonetical sense to people not as knowledgeble about Welsh names. I'm generally not as wild about Elliot as a name, but that's just personal style. Eli is totally fine as a nickname. I know a boy named Zachary who goes by the nickname Zack instead of Zach. No big deal to me. And yes, Gwyneth (or rather Gwenyth) and Elliot sound fine as a sibet. I think that Elliot leaves a little to be desired when paired with such a stunning name as Gwyneth, but again, that's just me.

I think both work perfectly, and the two names make a lovely sibset.
I can definitely see Eli as a NN for Elliot, and my friend is named Gwyneth and her nn is Gwen, and there's another person I know named Gwyneth who's NN is Gwyn. prn. Gwin.
I can see Gwyneth and Elliot maybe working, but I'm not sure.
Gwyneth and Elliot. actually yeah I could see that as a good sibset
