EL en orI like them both. Elena slightly more as it has more personality. It is vibrant and pretty and has a slight exotic feel. Eleanor is more simple, down to earth and old fashioned.

I pronounced Eleanor like Elinor. I prefer Eleanor simply because Elena, Elaina, Alaina, Alayna, Alena et al are very over-used in the under two set around here.

As an Elinor myself, I think Elena wins hands down. It's much more attractive, if not very strong sounding. I pronounce Eleanor "ELLE-en-ur".

I prefer Elena, but I pronounce both names differently. Elena is Eh-LAY-nuh, whereas Eleanor is ELL-uh-nuhS xx--

I pronounce Eleanor as EL-en-or. I like this spelling as well as Elinor.I like both Eleanor & Elena, but for some reason I could actually see you naming your daughter Elena over Eleanor.I pronounce Elena as e-LAY-na or EL-en-ah.

I would pronounce it as ElinorI though Elinor was the same as Eleanor? In Sweden we spell it Ellinor (pronounced as ELL-ee-NOR).I love both Ellinor and Elena. (The Eleanor spelling looks complicated to me). I may love Ellinor a little more. Some similar name I like are Eliana, Ellen, Elin and Elina."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

Eleanor: EL-eh-norI prefer Eleanor to Elena because my heritage is more related to Eleanor than Elena. Elena is nice too and sounds like a child of today.

Is your name Integrity? Is Integrity your given name? If it is, how do you feel about it and how do others react to it? What are you called for short? I love the concept that the word describes, but I go back and forth as to whether it would make a good name? (Even if it isn't your given name, what is your view on this question?)

I pronounce Eleanor EL-eh-nor. I love both Eleanor and Elena (as well as Eleni, though I'd probably use that as a nn). However, they're quite different in my mind, probably because I pronounce them so differently...Elena is eh-LAY-na to me, and seems much more exotic than Eleanor.~ Caitlín
