Message: "Enid or Idony?" - Behind the Name

I spent most of today looking for names for characters in a story I've just thought up. I'm putting a lot on name meanings in this one.

I'm just having trouble with one last character. The MC's love interest. I've narrowed it down to either Enid or Idony, as the meanings are both very good for her.

Her boyfriend would be Wit [which I'm pronouncing like the English word, rather than like the Polish name], and she'd be 15 or 16 years old.

So which would you rather see? Enid or Idony?

And in case you want to know, the sibset in the story would be Renata "Ren", Wit, and Libitina "Libby" :].

Idony has more personality than Enid and fits a character better.

I much prefer Idony, provided I'm pronouncing it correctly. I'm basically replacing the consonants in "Ivory." EYE-duh-nee. Is that right?

Oddly enough, I like the name Enid. Its quirky, and it reminds me of the girl from "Ghost World". Idony is also cool, but how do you pronounce it?

Idony

"Enid" always makes me think of someone's grandma - it just sound like an "old" name to me. Plus, I think tht "Wit and Idony" / "Idony and Wit" sounds better than "Wit and Enid" / "Enid and Wit".

Enid!

I looooove Enid. I had a friend in kindergarten named Enid and I've always thought it was awesome. Idony is nice too, but I'd much rather see Enid used. :D
