[Opinions] Silvia & Silas .......
Silvia & SilasWDYT of the names individually?
Do you think they work as a sibset?
Would you use them on twins? Although they have the SIL- thing going on, I actually don't think of them as matchy because the first syllable is different.

I like Silas, but Silvia leaves me cold.

I like Silvia, but don't care for Silas. Personally I think the names are too close for siblings. For Silvia, I like:Silvia and Nigel
Silvia and Grant
Silvia and Henry
Silvia and Owen

Sylvia and Silas is a little betterNow the sound and appearance is different. But I still don't care for the alliteration.

I really like them both.. Hmm... A siblings or twins... Idk. As siblings, I'd probably have one, then have another kid with a completely different name, and then use the other [ie... Have Silas, then Maria, then Silvia]. Not that it's easy to control that. :P I would spell Silvia as Sylvia though. Silvia reminds me a bit of saliva spelled that way.

I think of SilverI have read that saliva thing and luckily I don't 'see' it. I see SILVER in Silvia and that's much better. I would use the NN Silvie definitely. I can barely take the Y dangling in Lydia. LOL

I know so many twins who hate their names because they sound alike or start with the same letter. Because they look similiar I wouldn't use them for twins. Also, I would consider using them for siblings but only if one was a middle name. Not both as first names. Cute isn't so cute as they grow into addolences. Individually I like the names.
