[Opinions] Harper
1. WDYT in general?
2. Boy or girl or either?
3. any FN or MN suggestions for a boy [and a girl but I prefer on a boy)?
4. Harper and Atticus for siblings?*Note: I know using both Harper and Atticus together is very TKAM, but keep in mind this is my favorite book ever, and the two names (IMO) sound great together and I love themes.

- I don't mind it, though I wouldn't use it myself.2. Boy or girl or either?

4. I actually imagined a family with these two as siblings. I like it but it might be too themey

1.I love the name, seeing as how it is my stepfather's surname, and he's a great guy.
2.Definitely girl. Harper Lee made it feminine, and it has a rural, quirky kind of charm.
3.Neil Harper, Desmond Harper, Michael Harper
Harper Michael, Harper Quinn, Harper James
4.I think Harper and Atticus are a little TOO matchy-matchy for siblings. Its a good theme, but if you're going to go with either name, an equally quirky yet unrelated to the book name would be better.

I met one two days agoWell, saw one anyway. A baby girl about a year old came into the pet store in a stroller with her parents. Her parents referred to her as Harper, and she had a personalised diaper bag to back it up. There's also a Harper who's a grade older than me (which would make her a senior in highschool this year.)Because of these two, especially the older girl, I'm inclined to see it as a female name. That does, however, break all of my naming rules, and I'd prefer it on a male. Does that make sense? It's like, when I hear Ashley I think "girl," but I prefer boy.Harper and Atticus are too much for me, though I don't know what TKAM stands for. Regardless, I don't like the name Atticus. Harper Atticus would make a nice combo, though.

1. WDYT in general?: It's a great name. I personally love it.
2. Boy or girl or either?: I think that it's a tad more feminine but it could easily be both.
3. any FN or MN suggestions for a boy [and a girl but I prefer on a boy)?:
Harper James
Harper Jamison
Harper Maxwell
Harper Lance
Harper Drake
Harper Trenton.
If I think of more before tonight I'll post them.

I used to hate it, but it's grown on me a lot since I first heard it. =) I definitely think it should be a boy only name though. The sibset Harper and Atticus is great, I love Atticus!

I prefer Harper on a little boy anyways and if I'd use it I'd mostly likely use for a son :) I kind of like it on a girl as well but can't picture me with a daughter named Harper. So most likely Harper and Atticus would be brothers :)
