I personally think Pasquale sounds so much nicer and looks classier. Though I am not Italian so I doubt I'll ever use it.

To satisfy my nerdy mathematician-honouring I always preferred to stick with Blaise (which I love), but Pascal has it's charm.

This is just me being ridiculous but Pascal reminds me of the character in the spoof spy film "Johnny English" - a crazy Frenchman who plots to become king. But on a deeper level, I think Pascal is cool and it should definitely grow on me!

I adore Pascal. The sound and look are both very appealing, and I also love the historical connection. Historically significant names are the best. It doesn't remind me of rascal at all, as the stress is on the first syllable, not the second. Even if there was a connection, it wouldn't matter too much. Pascal the rascal: sounds pretty awesome to me.
