Alex and Lily hadn't planned on having children for a few more years but when they discovered a newborn baby boy on their doorstep, they just couldn't abandon him. They took him to the local hospital but he was not claimed within four weeks so they were allowed to officially adopt him. They named him James Oliver Gregory.
