Alexandra/etc.: Al (There is a series of books from the eighties by Constance C. Greene abouta girl named Alexandra who goes by Al.)
Amy: Amos (I have a friend whose name is Aimee and her family occasionally calls her Amos for a joke)
Barbara/Roberta: Bobbie
Wilhelmina: Billie
Bernice/Bernadette: Bernie (I know a lady named Burnese who is called Burnie)
Carhlotte/Charlene: Charlie/Chuck (I know a Charlynda who sometimes goes by Chuck)
