[Opinions] Riot
Nay, I do not wish to name my child Riot. No, instead I met one today at work. He was recently born, so he is only probably a few weeks old. I think it sounds cool, but in no way does it make a good name. The parents are a couple of teenagers who probably thought, "Riot, that is awesome, lets go with that one!" It was likely on a list with Danger, Slash, War, Murder, and Punk.
Ahh, It will be such a riot when little Riot gets detention for starting a riot on the playground in 6th grade. Can't wait!

Don't know if anyone else has remarked it +but I can't resist...
The parents could say that--they caused a Riot!(ouch!)

Ugh. Poor kid. Will he ever be taken seriously?

Thank goodness. For a second I thought, "LMS, what's come over you?!" It's disgusting. Right up there with Violence. Booooooooo!

think it's kind of cool. I like Danger as a middle name only. I think it would be best as a MN. I have seen worse names.ETA: I also don't think because a name sounds or is a certain way the kid will turn out that way (like Riot) or the opposite way (like Heaven).

I'm slightly embarrassed to say, ditto. The rhyme with Wyatt makes it a lot less eyebrow-raise-worthy.I'd be afraid to name my boy Riot, though, because I'd be superstitious that it'd make him turn out to be too unruly and get me in trouble. Same sort of deal with Danger (besides "Danger is my middle name" being such a cliche).

Danger as a middle name just sounds like something silly you'd see in a comic book. Riot is the same way. My sister gave the middle name Danger to our dog as a joke :)

to each their own I think Danger sounds neat as a middle name, but I wouldn't use it but I like seeing it on others. :o)

I think Danger is cool as a MN, too. I wouldn't use it personally, but I like it nontheless.

Oh dear haha! I do agree that it's very cool, but very unusable. I have a thing for Zeal as a name. It's a GP, of course (and I'd never ever use it), and it's definately along the same lines as Riot. I still think names like Cutter and Gunnar are way worse, though.

Did you happen to catch the spelling? I was thinking about it as I waited for this thread to load and I noticed it rhymed with Wyatt, and maybe it's Ryatt [Which is probably worse, but it is a legitimate surname].
Either way. I think it'd be an okay GP, but nothing more.

Actually, it would be so bad spelled like that. It would take me a minute to see the Riot connection. It's not a bad sound, it's just the word...
Ryatt could be a GP, I agree. But it should remain as so.
