I think they're all acceptable. I have a grandmother Roberta who goes by Bobbie, so that works too.
It generally depends on the girl. Some girls prefer unisex nicknames (Sam, Max, Billie, Charlie, Jo), and some hate them.
I'm not really bothered. I live with a girl-Charli and a boy-Chris, and some people do ask which one of my housemates (when I list them) is the boy, but it's usually not a problem.

I like Alex and Frankie (which I know isn't listed), and I don't mind Sam or Joey. But I don't really like the rest. I'd like Georgie as a nickname for Georgina, or Mattie for Matilda though, which I've also heard on boys. At least young ones. :)
