Atheleisia and Edward had five children already, but they wanted more. Andy's adoption had been so wonderful experience that they decided to adopt again, this time from Portugal. A year later they welcomed four-year-old Cátia Rosaline. Cátia still speaks mainly Portuguese, but that does not prevent her from playing with her new siblings. Atheleisia and Edward are very happy to have their new daughter at home.

Edward's younger sister Aurelia was not happy at all, when she found a baby from their front step. In the baby's basket was a note saying the baby's name is Quinn and she belongs to Emil. When Emil came home, Aurelia asked for explanation. Emil confessed that he had cheated Aurelia once with a woman he met in a pub, but he had never met the woman again. A paternity test was done and it confirmed that Emil was the father. The police was trying to find Quinn's mother, and couple weeks later they found out that she had killed herself after leaving Quinn to Emil's front door. Next weeks were difficult to everyone. Emil had to decide if he wanted to keep the baby or give her to adoption. Aurelia had to decide if she wanted to get a divorce or not. After several serious discussions and arguments Aurelia and Emil decided to stay together and keep the baby. At first Aurelia was not sure if she could love the baby, but she knew that Quinn should not be punished for his parents' mistakes. Quinn is a sweet little girl and Aurelia has already learned to love her like she was her own.
