Four years goes by quickly when there's lots of activity in the family. Malachi was traded to the NHL team in Calgary, Alberta, Canada two years ago. It was very difficult for him to leave Elijah, whom he's never been apart from for even a few days, but Malachi concentrated on getting settled in a new city with his wife and their one year old son, Marcus. However, Malachi and his family soon got into a rhythm and life wasn't so difficult. Their second son, Michael Avraham was born just a few months ago. Malachi loves being a daddy and hopes he can be to his sons what his father Avi was to him. Elijah remained behind in Tampa Bay when Malachi was traded and, although it was difficult, Kaori helped him through the roughest spots. Elijah and Kaori were very excited when they found out that they were expecting their first child! Their daughter, Haley Cadence, is Avi and Shiloh's first granddaughter, and she is doted on by her Japanese grandparents as well, who fly to America to visit twice a year.Asher left the band three and a half years ago when he decided that he needed to settle down and get a "real" job. He had two years of college under his belt when the band started touring, so he found a job as a shelf stocker at a grocery store and is attending college classes full-time so he can finish his degree in music therapy within three years. Mira stopped traveling with the band around the time Asher left because she met a guy. His name was Andrew Royce Gibbons and he was a soldier in the US Marine Corps. Mira and Andy dated for a year before Andy found out that he was about to be stationed in Germany. He and Mira knew that they had to be together, so they were married four and a half months before Andy's deployment. Shortly after arriving in Germany, Mira began to feel a little under the weather and figured that it was just the result of having to move to a different continent. Two months later, Mira began to suspect she was pregnant. She went to the doctor and he confirmed that she was expecting a baby. Andy was very excited, but worried at the same time--they were in a foreign country and he was often gone for days on patrol missions. Thankfully, the other wives at the base took good care of Mira and helped out a lot after her son, Andrew Royce Gibbons Jr., was born.Rachel has still been acting in several different television shows, and she was recently cast in the starring role for a movie about a farm-town girl who moves to the big city to pursue a career in fashion. Rachel can't wait to begin filming, but in the meantime has been taking some of her spare time to visit her family at home and around the world (of all the siblings, Asher and Ezra are the only two who live remotely close to the family home in Ohio). Joel is still playing with the band, though they haven't toured in two years and are in the middle of recording for their fifth album. Joel likes to live extravagantly--as evidenced by his large penthouse in New York City. To help supplement his band earnings, Joel gives guitar, keyboard, and drum lessons. Ezra remains close to home. He has written two books and is becoming much more famous that he really wants; however, once an idea worms its way into Ezra's head, he can't help but write it down. Ezra is in his junior year of college, studying English with concentrations in both Professional and Creative writing. Mosi, 18, decided to take a completely different route to fame than his siblings. After visiting a dude ranch in Colorado while on vacation one year, Mosi decided that he wanted to be a rodeo man. He took up horseback riding, but didn't excel like he had hoped. While competing at a local rodeo, Mosi saw a bunch of other young guys competing in bull-riding, an event he had never considered. Although he was just seventeen and Shiloh advised him strongly against it, Mosi started riding bulls. And boy, did he ride them. In the past year, Mosi has ridden in an astonishing number of events and placed in all of them. He's hoping to go pro in one or two more years.
