[Opinions] Evolet ?
Okay so this is one of my guilty pleasure names :P I kind of like it especially as a middle name. It is the name of one of the main characters in 10000 BC, though (which was a ehm not so good movie). So what do you think ? and I know it doesn't belong here but do you know what it means ? Oh and it would be for a girl.

Oh, I love Evolet as a gp, too. I haven't seen the movie, but I heard that it was supposed to mean "life", or something, and would therefore be related to Eve. BTW, did you know that there is a town in Belgium named Evelette? I think Evelette lacks some of Evolet's panache, but at least it sounds similar and lacks the connection to 10,000 BC.

Hmm, I think I like Evelette better. The main thing that holds me back from Evolet/ette is I don't want people to call her Evo with a long EEE.

I do not know what it means but I do remember that it was from 10,000 B.C. I was going to ask you that before I seen where you got it from. I think it is a nice choice.

Trendy, inconsistent and too tied to a poor movie. What about something like Ayelet?

While I want to like it, I can't. It makes it sound like Evilette...yah know, the female version of Evil. :)

I posted about this before too, but I spelled it Evolette.
I really do like it, but not sure if I would actually use it.

I'll copy-paste my comment on it from some months ago, because my opinion hasn't changed: It sounds to me like a perfect, polyamorous marriage between Evelyn, Violet, and invented names in general--like someone working on that film knew something about names and wanted to try and start a new trend.I sincerely doubt that 10,000 BC is going to end up a classic in the canon of Great Films, but even if no one remembers it in twenty years, a young Evolet's name is still going to sound very dated to this decade. It has the "now" sounds repackaged.(http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=3170092&board=baby)Array
