Actress Busy Philipps and husband Marc Silverstein are first-time parents after welcoming a baby girl. Daughter Birdie Leigh Silverstein was born on Wednesday, August 13th, weighing in at 9 lbs, 7 oz and 21 ½ inches long.

I adore Birdie! Leigh isn't my favorite but Birdie is so sweet and fresh even though it has a fairly long history as a name. Definatley my favorite animal name. I bet she's cute...I love big babies like that

I really don't want to like it. In fact, I don't like it . . . as a given name. But something with Birdie as a NN would have been so so charming. 1/2 points for trying.
