[Opinions] Anatole and Peregrine
Toying around with these. I like Perry as a nickname for Peregrine. I don't like any nicknames for Anatole that I can think of, but I guess all of them could grow on me. I dunno.Wdyt?

I like Anatole. Peregrine is NMS, but I think it would be cute for a pet.

I love Peregrine, with Per and Perry as nicknames for it.Anatole is kind of cool, but I'm not sure that I like it...

Anatole isn't really my cup of tea. It reminds me only of Anatoly and the horrible nickname Tolya. Many of my Russian grandma's female friends have a son named Anatoly who still lives with his parents. I always hear: "Our Tolik is too sensitive for...." or "Our Tolik cannot wake up early" or "Our Tolya is again very angry"... Idk, maybe I dislike Anatole-related names because of the associations. But Peregrine is beautiful! I really like the falcon-connection - Peregrinus would be a gorgeous name I'd love to see somewhere. (falco peregrinus is the latin name for Peregrine Falcon) And, there's Peregrin Took. I like that association though I'm not a LotR-fan - neither of the book nor of the film. Pippin is definitely a neat nickname alternative, although my preferance goes to Perry.
Also, "GREE" has always been one of my favourite phonetic parts - what a shame I dislike the nasty "i"s in Ingrid and Sigrid! But Peregrine - oh that's a majestic name!

I love Peregrine! Thanks for reminding me. Perry is really cool too. I'd actually convinced myself that -erry names don't work anymore until I met the nicest (and cutest!) guy named Terry. Anyway I think Peregrine is really handsome and charming.I'm not as into Anatole, probably because I don't know enough about it. It's a gorgeous meaning though. As for nicknames, Tony came to mind? That's a little contrived but I'd take it. :)

Peregrine!Oh, goodness gracious me! I totally forgot about this name! *hugs Tippins* It used to be my favorite, and then it slipped right out of my brain! (I've GOT to start using earplugs... otherwise I'll lose everything else I've got stored up there. :-/)Whew... Well, that was a lot of excitement. My favorite combo for it was voted Too Weird a year ago. Anatole is okay. But you'll have to help me on the pronunciation. AHN-uh-toll, uh-NAT-uhl, uh-NAT-uh-lee, ah-nah-TOLL...

Peregrine is something that keeps growing on me, albeit slowly. I have the combo Peregrine Horatio set aside for the moment that I fully realise my long-hidden love for Peregrine. It's a handsome little devil of a name.I can't think of any nicknames for Anatole that don't sound contrived. My immediate thought was Nattie, but I can't help but wonder if the leap from Anatole to Nattie isn't LIEK WHOA.As for the name itself, while it doesn't immediately fill me with wonderment upon hearing/seeing it, the meaning is great. Anatole and Zaria/Zarya would be a quietly clever sibset. Both have a similar exotic sound, too. Anatole Konstantinos or Anatole Konstantin are wonderful combos. I know you didn't ask for combos, but those just popped in my head.
