I like the name Mercedes; I'll most likely use it as a middle name. Mercaedes is such an awful spelling, though.

Mercedes is a beautiful name, though difficult to pull off as a first name thanks to the association. :/
Mercaedes is dreadful; caedes is a Latin word for carnage, murder, etc. Shudder!
