Maxi? I wouldn't name a kid Maxwell, if you don't want him to be called Max. How bout the Russian Maxim? You might have more luck with people using the full name for something like that.

...I don't know, I don't think it's a name with a lot of nickname potential. It's either Max or Maxwell. or some ridiculous childhood nickname like Pickles or Buttface :D
