I love Damian. I prefer the French spelling Damien after Father Damien, the man who cared for the lepers in Hawaii and eventually died of the disease himself. If he doesn't deserve to be honored I don't know who does.
Obviously the association with Father Damien is upper most in my mind and why I love the name so much. But the sound is wonderful too. It's also my brother's mn.
Damain? It reminds me of the word "domain."
