Jane Aida (ah-EE-dah, not AY-dah) used to be one of my favourite names.
I think Jane works perfectly well in the modern day. Jane itself is nice and professional (especially in comparison to Maddysin!), and the nickname Janey is a bit edgy-sounding--at least, it is to me. When I think of Janey, the song "Janey's Got a Gun" and Jane Lane of Daria (whose brother called her Janey) come to mind.
It's really a fantabulous name overall. I think that the best middle names would be the three syllable or more, ends-in-a-vowel sort. Jane Louisa, Jane Aida, Jane Ramona, Jane Calliope, Jane Kalila, Jane Penelope...
